TerraBrains is the operating system for geotechnical engineering. Capture boring logs offline on any tablet, run 213 code-checked analyses and 47 lab workflows, build a true 3D ground model with AI geological interpretation, and let AI draft your report — every claim cited. Sign deliverables that lock to a tamper-evident SHA-256 audit chain.
AI-drafted numbers are cited to the engine output where verified; unsupported material is flagged [VERIFY] for review — the editor shows the cited share of each section.
implicit ground model — RBF surfaces, volumetrics + leave-one-out cross-validation.

Field. Lab. Report.One immutable thread.
We are not replacing your CAD. We are replacing the spreadsheets, the email threads, and the “final-FINAL.pdf” chaos between them.
Field
Capture offline at the rig
Borehole logs, SPT, samples — entered on a tablet that survives loss of signal, water, and gloves. Attach photos, voice notes, and scan sample barcodes. An offline outbox replays every record in order the moment you come back online.
Atterberg, sieves, triaxial, consolidation, and 43 more — each test queues into a real workflow with results that auto-classify and link straight back to the source sample.
AI drafts an engineer-grade report with supporting project or standard citations where available, and flags unsupported text for engineer review. Section diff, request-changes review loop, finalisation gate, then sign-and-stamp locks it to the immutable audit chain.
Not just records — a thinking ground model.Analysis, 3D geology, and an AI that reads it.
Where field-ops tools stop at a clean PDF, TerraBrains computes the engineering — 213 code-checked analyses, a true 3D ground model, and an AI that interprets it — all from the same boreholes, all citing their source.
Analysis
213 code-checked analyses
Bearing capacity, settlement, piles (bored · driven · lateral · group), liquefaction, soil & rock slope stability, seepage, retaining & excavation systems, ground improvement, the full flexible + rigid pavement suite, tunnels and in-situ CPT / DMT / pressuremeter — to IS, Eurocode 7, NF P94-261, BS, AASHTO and ASTM. Not lookup tables: rigorous engines whose every result cites its governing clause, is covered by the golden test suite (190 cited validation suites document published-value benchmarks or formula-fidelity checks), and has adversarial tests for invalid and boundary inputs.
Beyond the number, design analyses can return a verdict — adequate, marginal, inadequate or over-conservative — with the governing criterion and a concrete next step. It reads on web, mobile and the AI assistant so reviewers can inspect the basis alongside the result.
Four premium suites attach to any plan: the Pavement Suite covers time-stepping Pavement-ME prediction (rutting, fatigue, thermal cracking, IRI and reliability), Burmister, IRC, AASHTO, MEPDG/JPCP distress models and FAARFIELD airfield design. The Advanced FE Suite provides in-house finite-element solvers including three-dimensional elasto-plastic continuum footing analysis, two-dimensional footing analysis, Richards/van Genuchten seepage, confined and unconfined seepage, strength-reduction slope, concrete slab and bearing checks. The Deep Foundations Suite covers axial t-z/q-w, lateral pile-group p-multipliers, the 6×6 pile-cap stiffness matrix and RC/steel pile sections. The Deep Excavation Suite covers embedded-wall soil-structure interaction with staged construction. Add or cancel any time.
Implicit RBF surfaces with structural-dip awareness, leave-one-out cross-validation, voxel volumetrics and smooth meshes — built straight from your borehole logs. Rotate the solid, read per-unit volumes, and see exactly where the model is well- or poorly-constrained.
It correlates units across boreholes, flags inconsistencies (outlier contacts, possible pinch-outs), weighs the model's cross-validation error, and drafts a report-ready geological narrative. Advisory by design — you accept, edit, or reject every line, and nothing is auto-signed.
Import legacy logs — including AI-assisted ingestion of scanned and PDF bore logs — and export validated AGS 4 and DIGGS 2.6 for common FE packages and your peers. Open standards in, open standards out: your data is never locked in.
Every paid plan includes 165 base analyses and 47 lab tests; the remaining 48 optional specialist analyses are in Store packs. Every catalogue item carries its governing standard and a worked example you can open.
Legacy per-seat tools often cost $3,000–$5,000/seat/yr. We're positioned at the AI-native, audit-grade end of that range — and we're honest about it.

The mobile and tablet apps run a local SQLite database with a durable offline outbox. You can log boreholes for hours offline; when connectivity returns, queued records replay in order to the cloud with idempotent, retry-safe writes. Concurrent edits to the same record are detected and surfaced in a conflict resolver (real-time co-editing of report drafts uses Yjs CRDT). Sync locally captured work before replacing or losing the device.
Which standards do you support?
AGS 4.x and DIGGS 2.x are native today — every field maps to the source schema. Eurocode 7, ASTM, BS 5930, AASHTO and IS 1893 classification rules ship as plug-in rule packs. ITA support is on the Phase 2 roadmap.
Can TerraBrains build a 3D ground model?
Yes — a true implicit 3D model, not just 2D contour maps. From your borehole logs it fits radial-basis-function (RBF) contact surfaces with structural-dip awareness, runs leave-one-out cross-validation (so you know where the model is well- or poorly-constrained), computes per-unit volumetrics, and extracts smooth meshes you can rotate and export to CAD/BIM. It is borehole-driven, so it honours your data; with measured dip/orientation it also follows faulted and folded contacts.
What does the AI geological interpretation do?
It reads your real borehole logs plus the 3D model’s cross-validation error and proposes likely unit correlations across boreholes, flags inconsistencies (outlier contacts, possible pinch-outs or offsets), and drafts a report-ready geological narrative. It is advisory by design: the engineer accepts, edits, or rejects every line, nothing is auto-signed, and full provenance (model, tokens, prompt fingerprint) is logged for every suggestion.
Can I keep my data?
Yes. You own everything you put in. Export supported workspace data as AGS 4, DIGGS 2, CSV, or a signed PDF without a per-export fee. Retention and deletion are described in the Privacy Policy.
What AI models power TerraBrains?
AI runs on AWS Bedrock foundation models in the service region described in our Privacy Policy and is never trained on your data. We use a reasoning model for long-context engineering Q&A, a vision model for photo classification, and a fast-tier model for low-latency checks. Responses cite available project or standards evidence and flag unsupported text for review.
How is the audit chain secured?
Every signable artefact (log, lab result, report, signature) is hashed with SHA-256 and chained to the previous record. The chain is verified server-side on every read and can be re-verified independently from an exported CSV. Tampering is mathematically detectable.
Do you offer on-prem?
The standard product is cloud-hosted. If an isolated or on-prem environment is a requirement, contact us before purchase: availability, architecture, support boundaries, and commercial terms are agreed in a separate written scope.
Can my client view a single report without an account?
Yes. Each signed report can be shared via a single-use, watermarked link with optional passcode and view-count limit. The client never sees your project list, your other clients, or your pricing.
How much does it cost?
Pricing is published globally in USD. Solo is $99/mo (3 seats), Studio $399/mo (10 seats), Team $799/mo (20 seats), and Enterprise $1,999/mo (50 seats); extra seats are $50/mo on paid tiers. Every paid tier includes the 165-analysis base catalogue and 47 lab tests. The remaining 48 specialist analyses are in 4 optional Store packs. New workspaces start with a 1-month Team trial, card required. Annual prepay saves 17%. Academic access is subject to eligibility review; the Validator and "Verify a signed report" are free. See /pricing for current terms and limits.
