Delete your account
You can delete your TerraBrains account yourself, in a few taps, from the app or the website. This page explains how, what happens to your data, and how to ask us to do it for you if you cannot sign in.
Delete it yourself
- In the Android or iOS app: open the More tab → scroll to Account → Delete account → confirm.
- On the website: sign in, then go to Settings → Delete account and confirm.
Deletion runs immediately and cannot be undone. You are signed out on every device and the account can never be used to sign in again.
What is erased
- Your profile name, phone number, avatar and licence details.
- The e-mail address and password on your sign-in credential.
- Push-notification tokens registered to your account.
- Data cached on a device (offline copy of records) is removed when you sign out; delete the app to remove anything else stored locally.
What is kept, and why
TerraBrains records are engineering evidence. Records that form part of the tamper-evident audit chain, and the authorship of boreholes, laboratory tests and signed reports, are kept in pseudonymous form: an internal identifier that no longer links to you. This keeps issued reports independently verifiable for the parties who rely on them (see Article 17(3) of the UK/EU GDPR in our Privacy Policy).
- Encrypted database backups roll off within about 30 days.
- Billing, tax and statutory records are kept for as long as Indian law requires (generally up to 8 years).
If you own an organisation
Deleting one person's login must never stop a firm's colleagues working. If you are the owner of a workspace, we will ask you to transfer ownership or close the workspace first. We will not cancel a company subscription on your behalf without being asked.
Cannot sign in? Ask us to do it
Email privacy@terrabrains.ai from the address registered on the account, with the subject “Account deletion request”. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting, and will confirm once the deletion is complete. If you want only some of your data removed, say which.
If your data sits in a workspace owned by your employer or client, that organisation is the controller of it and we will refer your request to them, as described in our Privacy Policy.
